Thelma is a super cute German Shepherd and Great Dane mix pup, approximately 8 months old that was rescued from ?death row?. She is very active and we are currently working on some basic training commands. Thelma is an indoor girl, she is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm negative. She is house trained, crate trained, loves to play, is very loving and affectionate as well as a loyal, devoted and intelligent dog. Thelma is very excitable. It is very clear that she has had little to no training or socialization. Thelma will need someone who is patient and understands that her German Shepherd's brains need to be used. She has a LOT of potential and just needs to be shown the way. She is a bundle of energy and would make a great running/walking companion. She would thrive with the correct training and something to focus her mind on. just being with an active family that will take her to new places and let her senses absorb and learn from the new smells, sights, and sounds will help with the release of her extra energy. This along with training, long walks, will keep a GSD happy, and Thelma is at the perfect age to start learning. Thelma gets along well with people of all ages and sex. She would love to live with a family with children, though no children under the age of six due to her high energy level. Thelma currently lives with a couple of German Shepherds with whom she loves to play as well as a few puppies. Thelma loves toys that she can chew, that being said, you should never ever leave her (or any dog) alone with a toy that is harmful if ripped up. Thelma cannot wait to find a family of her very own to whom she can devote her heart and soul. She is a girl who will work & play hard, bond deeply and love forever.
